CDST members and associate members reside in Tulsa and many of the surrounding communities.
The many different and unique dog training interests of our members allow a wide
curriculum of training opportunities at CDST. The classes are all taught by member
volunteers that have trained their own dogs and have taken them to many different
levels and types of competition. Such areas of interest and training experience
as Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Therapy visitations, Tracking, Animal rescue,
Rally, Free Style and Herding all contribute to the diversified experiences by our
membership.
CDST offers several advantages to those that become associate members and hopefully
desire and achieve full membership. However, membership in an establishment run
only by volunteers such as CDST places burdens on all its members beyond just paying
dues. Associate members are asked to help in various activities of the club. Helping
in trials, meetings, hospitality, stewarding, and instructor assistance are examples
of activities where an associate member may be asked to help. Every job in the club
is done by a volunteer.
Members also enjoy a variety of CDST events, such as the spring picnic, Milkbone
Classic Fun Match and the annual Christmas party.
